Practical training:
- Basics of breathing techniques in preparation for the dive and recovery breathing after the dive
- correct donning of equipment
- correct position during static diving (STA) at the beginning of the dive and correct protection during ascent
- complete STA of at least 1 minute
- buddy safety in STA incl. rescue exercise
- Perform buoyancy control for dynamic (DYN) diving
- Demonstrate a DYN start and the correct fin stroke during a stretch dive
- DYN dive of at least 25 meters
- Introduction to deep diving with a dive to a maximum depth of 10 meters

Practical training in open water:

Practical training in the pool/limited open water:
- Completion of at least 4 apnea dives
- 60 meter distance diving
- Practical use of training tables as a training tool in STA and DYN
- Design STA and DYN warm-up
- Complete STA of at least 3 minutes
- Safeguarding and first aid measures in DYN
Practical training in open water:
- Complete at least 4 apnea dives.
- Dive site preparation, briefing and grouping
- Adjustment of the equipment during a familiarization dive (1st open water dive of a beginner)
- Demonstration of proper freefall techniques including position changes during the fall
- Demonstration of the correct approach to new depths
- Safeguarding and execution of deep dives to 20 - 30 meters
- Rescue of a freediver from 15 meters depth, 25 meters tow ashore, first aid measures (incl. O2 and AED demonstration)
